I could happily go to a baseball game every night for the rest of my life.*

*This also applies to concerts and Cirque du Soleil’s The Beatles LOVE.**

**I’m not joking about The Beatles LOVE. I actually looked at how much plane tickets from San Diego to Las Vegas were ($208 roundtrip) and thought for half a second about flying there one night I’m out here just to see it for a 3rd time.

I too would happily fly from Birmingham, AL to Vegas for The Beatles Love show every single weekend. Love it, love it, love it!

Didn’t See That Coming of the Day: Jason Russell, co-founder of the controversial nonprofit Invisible Children and the star of its ultra-viral fundraising campaign video KONY2012, was arrested last night in the San Diego neighborhood of Pacific Beach for masturbating in public while under the influence.

The San Diego Police Department says Russell, 33, was taken into custody after he was caught masturbating in public and vandalizing cars. Lt. Andra Brown also noted that he was under the influence, but did not identify the substance.

His overall behavior was said to have been “Very strange.”

Stay organized. Stay cute.

My dad needs these. Somebody remind me of this when I am trying to buy the man with everything a gift.

A masterpiece in denim

Photo: Adam Katz Sinding/Le 21ème Arrondissement

No way in hell is that a masterpiece! What happened is a lawn mower took pity on the acid washed, oversized, train-wreck of a jumpsuit and slashed the smithereens out of it. Then someone off their psych meds picked it up and said, “This is an F¥€K’n masterpiece!”

Diamond Gothic: Can You Answer This Riddle?

diamondgothic:

I appear to be a most-fragile thing,

The coveted prize of any great king;

And still there’s little that can break me,

All that pressure but serves to make me;

The weight of the world upon me lies,

Buried in dark, far from men’s eyes,

My old self nothing but blackest coal,

Diamonds

Michigan State University surveyed more than 700 employers seeking to hire recent college graduates. Nearly one-third said parents had submitted resumes on their child’s behalf, some without even informing the child. One-quarter reported hearing from parents urging the employer to hire their son or daughter for a position. Four percent of respondents reported that a parent actually showed up for the candidate’s job interview.

Bring Your Parent To Work Day: So-called helicopter parents have hit the workplace, phoning employers to advocate on behalf of their adult children. Human resource managers say more parents are trying to negotiate salary and benefits and are even sitting in on job interviews.

—-This is kinda funny because after one of my interviews my Dad sent a personal thank you email to my interviewer. (Granted, they work for the same company, but still).—- perri

I would NEVER hire anyone whose parents were involved in the interview process, contacted me, etc. If you can’t even handle the interview and salary negotiations on your own, why should I think you can handle the JOB on your own?

I second that!
